TEDxChichester is proud to partner with Chichester Community Development Trust (CCDT), an organisation dedicated to supporting small charities, voluntary groups, and start-ups to become successful and sustainable. Through fostering a strong sense of community, CCDT offers more than just workspace, they create environments where collaboration, creativity, and growth can thrive.
As part of this partnership, CCDT has played a key role in supporting the TEDxChichester speaker journey. The Water Tower provided a distinctive and inspiring setting for our speaker auditions and will continue to host one-to-one coaching sessions in the lead-up to the event. In addition, Chichester Shed will serve as the home for group speaker training sessions from May through to October, offering a collaborative space for speakers to develop and refine their ideas ahead of the November event.
Located in the beautiful surroundings of Graylingwell Park, just north of Chichester city centre, The Water Tower is an iconic and thoughtfully designed workspace. With its clean, minimalist aesthetic, the space combines style and functionality, featuring contemporary furnishings, curated artwork, and greenery throughout.
The ground floor offers a welcoming meeting area with seating for up to eight, alongside a well-equipped kitchenette with coffee and tea-making facilities. Upstairs, modern Scandi-style work pods provide space for up to six people, making it ideal for focused sessions, small group work, and coaching. Superfast broadband and integrated power and USB charging points ensure a seamless working environment.
Set within Keepers Green, overlooking the cricket pitch and community garden, Chichester Shed is a bright, purpose-built, and highly versatile space. Designed with input from young people, it offers a large open-plan layout filled with natural light, creating an energising and inclusive atmosphere.
Complete with its own kitchen facilities, the space is ideally suited for workshops, training sessions, and collaborative activities. It is widely used by community groups, youth organisations, and creative practitioners, and plays an important role in supporting local youth provision. By hosting our speaker development sessions here, TEDxChichester is proud to contribute to and benefit from this vibrant community resource.

As part of this partnership, Purchases is supporting the TEDxChichester journey by providing accommodation for our speaker coaches during key coaching periods. We focus on honest, seasonal cooking with dishes that look beautiful but, more importantly, taste exactly how they should. There are no gimmicks or over-complicated concepts here, just quality ingredients and an amazing team of chefs who really care about what ends up on your plate.
The bar is usually the liveliest part of the house. We’re incredibly proud of our award-winning cocktails, which our team puts a lot of heart into, but we’re just as passionate about our wine list. Sussex is currently producing some of the best sparkling wines in the world, and we’ve made it our mission to champion our local vineyards. We treat a bottle from a few miles down the road with the same respect as a vintage from a famous French house, because quite frankly, the quality deserves it.
If you’re staying the night, our rooms upstairs are designed to be your own private corner of the city. We’ve kept the original Georgian features, high ceilings and big sash windows, but added the kind of comforts we’d want in our own homes. Comfortable beds and a sense of luxury that prioritises a good night’s sleep over showiness.
